Case Study: Recruitment & Resourcing

The Client

Client is a leading provider of resourcing solutions and recruitment to a variety of verticals. The company has been operating for over 20 years and has an excellent reputation in the industry.

The Challenge

The online platform the client was using was outdated and was not fit for purpose. Client was aware that the interface needed a major UX overhaul. The platform was not user-friendly, it was not helping the business, and a range of pain points had to be addressed.

  • Performance issues left the company’s senior management with no choice but to re-enter the market for a more reliable and intuitive solution that was able to integrate with existing client’s business applications and software in both front and back office.

  • Client also needed a system that allowed employees to work remotely with no loss of productivity and one that was highly scalable in order to lower the costs and also complexity of planned expansion.

  • There were no search/filter options, which made it cumbersome for users of the platform to find the information that they were after.

  • Client was using a combined customer relationship management (CRM) and email solution in its day-to-day operations, but was unhappy with the functionality as it struggled to adequately track communications between its recruiters and their candidates.

An overhaul of the overall user experience and performance improvements were needed, in addition to improving security particularly around personal information the platform held and data processing. The emergence of other strong recruitment players in the market meant the client was facing the risk of losing their market share and competitive advantage they had.

The Solution

The client was searching for a supplier with experience in this arena and to deliver a system that would provide them with an improved user experience and edge over its competition. After the second right of selection, RedBeryl IT became the preferred choice and was awarded the project.


RedBeryl IT’s Business Analysts carried out a study, reviewing and mapping existing processes in collaboration with the client, developed the future state scenario and their vision and developed the future state scenario. Using this and the specific requirements, a plan was developed with timelines along with scope for the project.

With regular but efficient progress review meetings in coordination with client’s IT, and their senior management, the new platform was developed by RedBeryl IT team. Training and User Acceptance Testing followed.


The new platform consists of various and value-adding features;


  • Speedy connectivity between multiple employers–candidate.

  • Multiple recruiters can post any number of job postings.

  • The applications of candidates registered within the platform, can be tracked easily.

  • The interview processing and scheduling of interviews can be done through the platform.

  • The platform can be integrated to the client’s website, where the client’s job listing in the platform will reflect in the client’s own web and further the potential candidate can apply, for the job posting, through the client’s website itself.

  • Database: This will have all the information of the candidates registered within the platform, through with the company will be able headhunt by filtering and identifying the candidates based on certain pre-assigned criteria.

  • Further, the platform is integrated to a Human Resource Management module where the recruited candidates will automatically be created as an employee with the respective clients’ HR system.

  • Speed and Agility – Aside from contextual data benefits, RedBeryl IT has reduced the time dedicated to sales and candidate sourcing.
